Organic Pixels: A Botanical Celebration of Rouge National Urban Park
Selected for the City of Pickering’s placemaking initiative at the CHDRC, Organic Pixels sparks joy and energy through vibrant, nature-inspired imagery. This series of 12 stylized digital illustrations celebrates the rich biodiversity of neighbouring Rouge National Urban Park. Displayed across pre-existing frames throughout the facility, the collection weaves native flora—trilliums, ferns, goldenrod, and milkweed—with local wildlife like monarch butterflies, finches, and chickadees. Organic Pixels invites visitors to pause, reconnect, and celebrate the natural beauty surrounding Pickering.
