Synchronized swim team suit design | Bollywood
I was contacted to design a team synchronized swim suit for a Bollywood inspired performance. The suit was influenced by the lavish and beautiful wedding saris worn by south asian brides. Without having the actual suit pattern to work from, I had to improvise and create a basic suit shape. Using the suit profile as a base layer, the ornate design was created, the stitching, sequin and jewelled details were then layered on top. The illustrator rendering concept (below) was sent to the suit manufacturer which was then modified to fit actual suit pattern and teams budget. This was a fun project to to work on. ©Kim Collins
